Here is Our Story:

The group began on the campus of Duke University in November 2008, founded by a few motivated students who wanted to do big things and see real change. Purple currently consists of 77 Duke student members, and the organization is open to anyone who is interested in getting involved.

Purple provides students with a unique opportunity to participate in educational outreach, engage themselves in meaningful service learning activities, diversify their relationships on campus and within the larger Durham community, and express their own creative energies in the form of fashion and music, all in support of pertinent social causes.
